Anyway glad to see some movement finally on the TECS throttle from VKB. I had decided they shelved the project and were just going to stick with the cheaper devices. I finally gave up some time ago and got a Virpil CM3 Throttle. And then earlier this year got the Virpil base and Alpha Prime grip and using it now rather than my Gunfighter Mk III.
VKB STECS (previously announced as TECS), or Single/Twin Engine Control System has finally been introduced in all its glory and it's coming earlier than you ...There are a whole bunch of us TECS-give-upers on the Virpil CM3. It's a fantastic throttle, the only thing I'm jealous of from the TECS are the electronic detents. I'd say my previous comment from the start of the year is close to accurate - we MIGHT see the TECS in the start of 2022, maybe around Chinese New Year, but VKB are focusing on the launch of their latest (awesome) piece of kit. The ARC and RAIL models will have electronic detents and some other, only teased at, features that will very much differentiate them from what Virpil and Win Wing offer.The VKB TECS is (by design) not really great for DCS level combat jets (especially ones with even somewhat modern control layouts).
