They’re simple and easy to use. Best of all, encouraging students to use them regularly will lead to them growing in confidence, improving critical thinking, and more open discussions. Using familiar routines, allows students to learn in a familiar space in which they can experience a sense of agency and security. That said, new thinking routines can be taught online and I want to share a few with you that might be very useful in distance learning.
