stanford is probably the only medical school i'd choose over harvard. i'd be willing to pay the premium over ucsf for the harvard name, but stanford trumps both. the funny thing is, i didn't apply to either stanford or harvard, and ucsf sent me a nice pre-secondary rejection for the second time. so yeah, good luck to those who have to make this ...I can answer why over Harvard and Hopkins - because realistically, these schools are all just about equal (it's really a premed delusion that coming from Harvard will make you a bigger and better physician than the other T5 schools).
