My sons have a 2009 Honda Rincon that we use for work and play. It was back to dealer when it had about 600 mile and they lowered the idle speed. Said it wont be a problem.

When I started on Sunday morning, could not get it to idle down. When I wuld kill it, it would strain starter a little (had to hit starter 4 or 5 times to get to turn over).May 16, 2012 · The Rincon handles far better, and rides far smoother. A 680 running an aftermarket exhaust, filter, and power commander would be very comparable to a STOCK 700 Grizzly, except the Grizzly will beat you on the top end, higher top speed, you could actually modify the 650 to run faster on top than the 680. Several factors (such as a discharged battery, faulty starter motor, or issues with the ignition system). You can start by testing the battery charge and connections. It might not always be a battery issue.But wont stop the bike when in gear and its the only brake used. I installed brand new EBC pads. Yes the foot brake works perfect. These are the problems I have had with mine. 1.Rear Pinion bearing and seal went out. - Dealer didn't have enought oil in the diff and I rode to far before finding this site. After reading info from this site I checked mine and it didn't have much at all in it.It was completely worn and needs replacing. I am going to replace the cam chain and the oil pump drive chain. Being a Honda mechanic many years ago, it just doesn't make sense that a 2000 mile machine should need a cam chain. The newer 680 engine has a different cam chain and tensioner, so hopefully the early cam chain failure has been fixed.
