The reason people switch to a catch can over the ccv system has to do with condensation build up in the plastic diaphragm. That’s caused by the motor not warming up enough to evaporate the water.

For vanity, you'll need to grind down 1/2 of the M54 plastic cover that covers the injectors to accommodate the new angle of the M56 hose. Then, you can cut the M56 plastic cover that covers the valve cover to merge cleanly with the M54 plastic cover for the injectors. It looks good. Buy the replacement CCV cap and diaphragm.
