For maps with good water spots, I do 0-2-0 Buccaneer (0-2-1 if the range is good), let some bloons leak, rush Benjamin, upgrade Buccaneer to 1-2-0 or 0-3-1 and start putting down 2-3-0 farms. Benjamin gives a large cash pool and will recover health lost in early rounds. Add more buccaneers as waves get stronger.

Ben is a god send in half cash mode, stick to fairly cheap towers for half cash, so something like super monkey or even heli pilot is not viable, you are very unlikely to get tier 5s in this mode do to the low cash earning. Aside from that, this is by far the best mode to use your insta monkeys on.
