Just got back from some testing on my 300 prc this morning. I've fireformed with the 215 Bergers with good Velocity and es. Fireformed brass not as good. Testing Hornady 225ELD match, 200 grain Sierras, 215 Berger, 230 A tips. All done with H-1000. I've done some primer comparison as well. So far in order of my results, 225 Hornady, 200 grain ...

Jun 21, 2020 · The 205 will stabilize in a 1:11 twist while the 215 needs 1:10. In my .300 WM X Bolt the 215 requires at least .100" off the lands to fit within the 3.6" internal mag length. When our Technical Support team first started cooking up 300 PRC load data with Vihtavuori powders, QuickLoad default for case volume was derived from Hornady cases (only cases available at the time). With new, thicker Lapua 300 PRC cases, the internal volume is much lower and will incur higher pressures. Again, our apologies for the hot loads.

To give each load its best chance, I tested using rifles of proven accuracy. Most are fitted with custom barrels. 6.5 PRC Load Data. The two bullets I have the most experience with are the Hornady 147 and the Berger 156. Both are incredibly easy to tune.
