Greetings fellow snowblower friends. I have an Ariens 9 hp (924317) with a Tecumseh engine that blew. got hold of a spare engine. (10 hp tecumseh) fitted it and all works great. but here comes the tricky part. Wiring connector from engine is different than it was on the old one. The old one had a yellow and red cable coming from it.

The auger wouldn't spin so I replaced auger belt and drive belt they were both chewed up pretty bad. Now the drive and auger both work however the drive belt keeps slipping off. It literally slipped off just sitting in the garage. Winter wonderlands are great until you need to get out of your house. Thankfully, clearing your driveway no longer has to mean spending two hours breaking your back with a snow shovel if you have the right snowblower.

Each of the snowblowers you are looking at will do the job. The Ariens with the big engine and 2 impeller belt system will handle anything. The Husqvarna has the hydro and cast iron impeller. In my mind it's the one you like using. Go to the dealer and get behind the controls. There's an Ariens Compact 22 for sale near me. They're asking $350, but say they're motivated to sell, so I'm thinking it can be had for less. I think it would work good for me and store easily. Today I saw my local dealer had the 2013 Ariens 30" deluxe 342cc available for $1,100, as opposed to $1300/$1600/$1800 for the new models. Model #921013. The 2013 has 342cc Polar Force engine compared to to 2014 306cc AX engine deluxe model for $200 more. This 2013 also has heated hand grips, 14" impellers, and manual steer levels …

The tire size is 410-4 (4.10-3.50 x 4) on this unit. I obviously need to re-inflate the new tires to some kind of pressure. The max PSI on the tires says 24 PSI.
