That is a huge difference and one that underlines what I saw just scanning the names of the companies in VXUS - that most are smaller companies with limited regional markets.

VGTSX and VXUS are nearly the same thing, just a mutual fund version and an ETF. VGTSX has a slightly higher expense ratio, but VTIAX is the lower cost (but higher minimum) version of the same thing.
