But, if they are ~30 minutes old from the time the first 2 spawned, as soon as they will be looted they will spawn new ones hence why you will often find 4 by traveling to all spawns. There's one near the blue pillar in the field with the big crystals. They are red loot crates, but there will only be at most 4 up at one time. Ragnarok actually has ~12 up at a single time, at least on unofficials. I can't directly find out how many of a specific entity aren't on officials, but unless one of the default options are changed on officials, then it should be ~12 as well.

The dots on the map are just possible locations, you have to check all of them to see which have spawned crates. I have just read the wiki. In Ragnarok there are 6 loot crates spawned at all times.
