People don't realize how good spiritualists are. You can blitz down discovery and prosperity very fast and almost keep up with a materialist in research and run multiple science ships (3-5). Once you go psionic early you're very close to a materialist in research but have almostbdouble the unity perks. Tall can kind of compete vs wide.
