This farming strategy was executed in 3.19 SSF standard using a build that incorporated both Magic Find and Headhunter + Inspired Learning. This post is not a guide, as I don't think I have enough experience to state that this is the "correct" or "most efficient way" to farm a Mageblood. It did work however, given my limited SSF resources.

At that rate with no crazy lucky drops like a mirror or whatever, it would take 67 days to farm a mageblood. 67 days (over two months straight) in a 3-4 month league. All for one item. So yes it’s definitely possible for a casual-but-effective player to farm in a league, but you would really be doing it to the exclusion of almost anything else.

Expedition is the best way most likely, since most ssf players get their mageblood that way. Rarity farming is also an option but lot less reliable (since Gwennen has higher chance of giving you a t1 unique compared to regular drop mechanism). Personally I got 2 magebloods from Gwennen and 1 from rarity farming. 3.
