Personally, the gore itself reminds me to be extra careful, and to not take loved ones for granted. But for eyeblech in particular, the community can be toxic, which is usually why these subreddits get banned. There's a line between coping with humor, and making light of victims. There's spaces that simply show the gore, along with a short summary.
