In addition to Prosper, Party time and basically any of the 40k decks are all good out of the box for a precon. The Merciless Rage deck (the Madness deck with Anje Falkenrath as the commander) is pretty great as a precon and can hold its own against a lot of decks. Especially when switching to Chainer as the commander.Both the [ [Aesi]] precon and the [ [Prosper]] precon are more generic value engines that look to out resource opponents and just generally be in a better position at the end game. The [ [Breena]] precon does a great job of going shields up, controlling the board and drawing cards but it certainly isn't what I would consider classic MTG control.I built my little brother a [[Ruxa]] deck and it can become the threat at a table pretty quickly for very little money. I also was teaching my best friend and I bought him the [[Aesi]] precon, figuring the landfall/card draw stuff would make for an easy stepping stone into the format. Since you're new, I think I'd get definitely get the Aesi precon plus either Wyleth or Anowon. Aesi is a bit of a controversial commander, since he is both very simple and very powerful.
