I don't know how often they pop up since most of my twitch watching is passive but there is a thing Twitch implemented in the past few months where the stream will shrink upward a bit and a banner will display underneath it for 30 seconds or more. Twitch AdBlock blocked this from occurring and TTV LOL currently doesn't.
