For anyone wanting to shoot a good competition gun, I’d suggest you take a look at the Kronos, which I really rate as a good entry level competition gun. The Kronos starts at £2,095 new; secondhand you can pick one up for around £1,400. The Z-Sport that I shot is around £5,000 new, and secondhand is £3,000-3,500.

Don't be silly this is Beretta you're talking about, they just use loctite. No, seriously, that's exactly what they do. The 692 with it's catalogue of design & quality issues is like Beretta's version of the Vauxhall Frontera. Don't buy one unless you've got a good sense of humour.

The biggest problem for the 692 is that it always gets compared to a 694 which of course, it is not...it's a 692... as is clearly marked. Shoot the 692 in isolation, on it's own merits and without the "but it's not a 694" and you'll realise just how good it is.
