To the best of my memory, this is what got my marker back on a planet the 2nd time the quest marker was not accessible (floating in space) 1. deselected the Archive quest in the log. 2. deleted, and rebuilt the base computer in the orginal quest marker system (the actual marker had become invisable by this time.Go to the system with the icon, make sure your freighter is there too, and build a base computer on one of the planets in that system.
