I recently purchased a D105 at Lowes and was offered the opportunity to purchase, for $269.97 a 2 year extension which increases the warranty period to 4 years. I've got to decide within 30 days of purchase whether I'd like to add the additional coverage. I've been fortunate with Lowe's Extended Warranty. I bought a fridge a long time ago - it had a problem after the manufacturer's warranty ran out, but was still covered under the Lowe's warranty. They sent out a repair guy, he said he needed to order some parts and left.
