I tried both the Bat side and the aux side of the relay.and check for continuity. No continuity means a bad wire. Replace both of them. Verify the condenser is not grounded. Remove the condenser and check for continuity between the end of the wire and the mounting bracket of the condenser. You should read no continuity.This 318 has the starter solenoid is under the battery plate. Directly above the solenoid is a 2 post piece. The left post has a red wire that goes down to the solenoid directly underneath. The other red wire on the right side goes else where. MB, not sure if this will help, but I had some pics from a 318 with a P218 engine, that had a fire in the engine compartment. I don't know the model year and JD may have done some changes in the wiring. The first is a circuit breaker that mounted to the left and below the hour meter on the side panel. On your tractor (since it is above SN 475,000) there should also be a light green wire in this terminal.
