Hey, I run Pro Taper SE's on my Grom. The bars that I use are for a DRZ110/KLX110 and I absolutely love them. The installation is fairly simple... Except for the throttle body assembly. The stock bars have a hole drilled into them. Its fine if I tighten it outside the bars its smooth but once I tighten it on the bars I get that issue. I have the Honda Minis on mine. Looks wise I like them, and I've had no issues with them hitting my knees. I'm 6ft, with regular inside leg. The only issue I did have was the clutch cable got pinched between the frame and the bottom yoke. The XR50 looks to be a good deal higher, but pay attention to the rise/height numbers. Looking at denniskirk.com, the rise on the KLX110 bars is 123mm and the rise on the XR50 is 152mm.Pro Taper bars do not have a cross bar. They are 1-1/8" thick and you need to get an adapter to use them on the Grom or any other bike that comes with 7/8" bars. I was under the impression all protaper contour bars were 1 1/8 at the base and tapers to 7/8 at the controls. If I’m wrong about that that’s my bad, but yes mine were 1 1/8 at base so you need 1 1/8 adapters or clamps. But the controls are 7/8 which is nice because everything else still works.
