Relic-turned-Ecus are just as good on a per-pop level, because they get a former relic world deposit of 10% science that stacks with the Ecu's 20% to all jobs for the same effect as a 30% science relic world. The Hydrocentric perk is primarily an early-game tool for …None of the unique resources survive, but you do get a new one along the lines of "Repaired Relic World" which gives a +15 bonus to all research. Completing the kleptomaniac rats dig depopulated the planet. So I've gotten in the habit of colonizing the relic world for the rubricator dig site before excavating.
