The best way I can describe it is everything that is great about Rebels was shit that was already in Clone wars or other star wars material. Maul, Ashoka vs vader, Rex, Ashoka comeback, Obi vs Maul, Thrawn, etc were all moments thats heavily relied on previous moments set up not rebels.In Rebels, most of the Imperials are either really incompetent or just there, with the exceptions of Kallus, Thrawn, Vader, Yularen and Tarkin, and four of those are big-name villains nearly at the top of the chain of command and the other's primary story is about joining the Rebels.
