As someone that started playing D&D 4e, then went to D&D 3.5, then Pathfinder 1e, and ocasionally plays D&D 5e as well, I have to say that Pathfinder 2e's skill system is probably the best I seen in any TTRPG I ever played. In D&D 3.5 there are near 40+ skills in the game, while in PF1e there is 35 (37 if you include Background Skills).
