It might happen due to tight slide release lever release. Fully engage the takedown lever’s rotation. If it isn’t entirely down, slide the frame off, push up on the slide lock, and rotate the lever 90 degrees. Look at the gun’s back on the right side. There’s a tiny lever there. My first guess may have been wrong, after reading your original post again. The takedown lever does rotate. The slide lock lever is locked into the up position. Probably got the wire spring jammed against the frame. Try taking out the chassis if possible, or even lift it up enough to free the jammed lever.

It should rotate down and up normally. If it does, then continue holding the lock lever up and rotate the take down lever back to the 6 o'clock, double check the transfer safety position then try the slide again while pushing up on the lock lever. That is connected to the bar and would be locked in place with the takedown bar. Unless it somehow got bent enough to have it be mobile, or worse, sheared.
