The rad effect mixed with fire does crowd control well enough. They burn animation then they fight eachother. I genuinely believe magnetic + viral + heat is the best kuva nukor build especially if you are running condition overload where your melee will likely add impact anyways. Still crazy strong though. Melee has been my main weapon for Steel Path. Plague Kripath zaw or Kronen prime depending on what I'm doing. Kuva Nukor does well against Corpus and Infested but I use it to proc status for Condition Overload. The only time I used a primary is for assassinations.

The regular old Cycron is actually good for this. You can get 5 statuses, it has innate punch through, and it reloads automatically while you're attacking with melee. I've been using the Cycron for CO priming literally since it was first released.
