My Mimic farm is pretty much the same. Unfortunately now with 1.3 pearlstone blocks if anything, makes this inneficient with the Hallowed Mimics, Sadly. What you could do is place 80 jungle blocks to increase spawn rates instead, cover up caverns nearby and as someone else said, summoners will help with the trash mobs as they take up the spawns.
