The engine we are putting in is a 1995 460 we need either a harmonic balancer with a 3 bolt pattern that fits on the smaller 460 crankshaft or the accessory pulleys with a 4 bolt pattern to fit on the harmonic balancer that came with the 460. redrill the pulleys, buy a ATI dampener,$$ they are 3 bolt. for std small snout, or look for diff pulleys.

Swap in a 460 that is already fuel injected. You can swap in a complete factory EFI 460 engine from a 1988-1997. If you already have a 460 that is still good you can take the heads and intake from the 88-97 and put them on any 460 engine. A 460 will even bolt up to the same bellhousing that a 351M or 400 will.
4 Answers. I have a 1983 Ford F250 with a 460 engine and the Holley 4 barrel carb. When pulling hills the truck starts bucking and acts like its running out of fuel. Driving around town and pulling out into traffic the truck runs fine. There are times when it runs like this most of the way home and then it starts running like there's nothing wrong.
