The most weastern is good.. it runs towards Japan, the rest is not useful. Look at trade ways map. It's worth it to own the new world, but never worth it to colonize it yourself. Make a settlement in Alaska or something and put your capital there, then delete exploration and go conquer the AI's colonies.
