I think they do mention how much weight contestants lose but it's nowhere near as detailed and satisfying as the before/after photos and exact weight loss of Naked and Afraid. Also the fact that she only lost 30 something pounds in almost 70 days, whereas as Biko and Colter lost almost 90 in the same time frame and they had a similar amount of food, shows that shelter had to be doing something right. Usually, once something demonstrates its effectiveness it becomes a huge part of every subsequent season.
