The idea is to either hide chat entirely (via textools?) or to make it as invisible as possible in game, so as to avoid the need for a giant chat blocker image. That's not the case with cactbot. It has it's own timeline (in the plugin files) that syncs as soon as the fight starts. There's only a few things that need to be read from the log during the fight, it also calls out the mechanics a while before they happen. It's basically bigwigs for ffxiv. You can disable fight triggers by just deleting the .json files in ~\OverlayPlugin\cactbot\ui\raidboss\data\triggers. This will prevent your changes from being clobbered during future cactbot updates. All cactbot UI modules can load user settings from the user/ directory.Use whatever you want, no one will mind.
