Heavy axes are more lack luster, as most are interchangeable except for weight or stat requirements. I prefer the Manserpent Hatchet for a quality build with its shield piercing R1s and deceptive range, and the Dragonslayer Axe for faith builds due to its natural, buffable lightning damage.
