Some of them such as Veles Labyrinth and Exodus Garden 2A (the Cosmodrome ones) aren't that much harder on Master, so you're better off doing those on Master. However others such as Perdition, Concealed Void, and Bunker E15 (the Europa ones) are considerably harder on Master.

You have a higher chance of getting an exclusive exotic you don't have, but it is not a guarantee. It’s surely not a 50% drop rate. People have done lots of testing and it the general consensus seems to be that there is maybe a 10% buff to drop rates for master as compared to legend. Also 30 runs on master and then 2 on legend is nowhere even close to a large enough sample size to gauge anything with RNG involved.

You're not the only one, I've done the Metamorphosis one like 30 times, Sub 5 minutes each and never gotten the drop. Pretty sure drops are bugged since Bungie is trying to prevent Blue drops after 1550 and it's just preventing drops. The Wellspring drops are bugged as well as far as I can tell. #1. Master is a higher chance. Legends will be easier, Masters have a better "chance" at a drop. You have to weigh time vs reward. If it takes 2-3 times longer to run a Master over a Legend and or you have a higher chance of failure, just run the Legend.
