This is new Artist’s perk “Hex: Pentimento”: You can perform a ritual on a destroyed Totem to resurrect it as a Rekindled Totem. The more Rekindled Totems you create, the greater their effects: 1 Totem: Reduces the Repair speed of all Survivors by 20/25/30 %. 2 Totems: Reduces the Healing speed of all Survivors by 20/25/30 %.Hex: Pentimento: This Perk allows you to see the aura of every cleansed Totem. You can now rekindle cleansed Totems. Each time you do so, Pentimento gains a token. Each token grants a 20/25/30 % speed penalty to various actions. At 1 Token, it affects the generator speed. At 2, it extends to healing.Hex: Plaything - Cenobite (Killer) A Hex that toys with a victim's suffering. If there is at least one Dull Totem remaining in the Trial Grounds, Hex: Plaything activates on a random Totem each time a Survivor is hooked for the first time: The hooked Survivor suffers from the Cursed and Oblivious Status Effects until Hex: Plaything is cleansed.Hex: Plaything: Hooking a survivor spawns a hex totem for said survivor, making them oblivious Hex: Face the Darkness: Injuring a survivor will spawn a hex on any dull until they are healed or downed Hex: Pentimento: A strange example, but it's more of a function instead of a hex, as you can rekindle hexes to give you effects
For a 30% repair speed reduction off the bat, at least this one has strong potential to 'pay for itself' in terms of the time you gain, depending on how long it takes to do the ritual. The ritual is near instant, not even the 'stomp' of snuffing boons. So it has that going for it at least.
Regarding only getting pentimento value in mid/late game, imo this is why you need to have a threat of something like devour hope as well so you either get an early pentimento if they cleanse it, or get devour value if they don't in mid-game. ... It gives you a huge 30% for one stack, and the rest of the stacks are just a buffer to hold on to that really. Their effects don't matter. Haunted ground pentimento trapper is the fucking best- trap the haunted, they cleanse, you get value, once haunted ends, pentimento the totem and rearm the trap, wait to see if another survivor sees the pent stack and doesn't know which one it is. Doesn't work on a full swf but man you can make some solo q players really doubt themselves.
