Also if you think waterworks gear is unfair, just wait till you see the disparity between malistaire probes between fire and storm, hell the storm tove that's not even the top tier robe, has better stats than the best fire robe. You can get this quest as soon as you hit level 60. about the wintertusk crafted gear, you might want to consider sticking with this and just ignoring waterworks, at least for the hat. the cards (esp. the hat's blade) are extremely useful on this gear. in fact, don't bother with the waterworks hat at all; all you need from waterworks is robe and boots because the wintertusk hat's blade is so useful.

Even to this day, at level 130, I will still catch some max-level wizards using a piece here and there. Just as cheating bosses were being introduced, this dungeon became the number one place to farm. Hades gear is more powerful, boosts power pips, has pierce but no accuracy. Waterworks has accuracy but no power pip or pierce and a small critical chance. I have gotten waterworks gear for 5 wizards and it barely took any time but now it seems like it's extremely rare and takes forever to drop. A lot of people I've done waterworks with have also had a very hard time trying to get the gear while people used to not complain even comparably to now. I really doubt it.
