Bedroom size is based on the "Expectations" stat, combined with some other stuff like Ascetic, Greedy, Jealous, etc. Expectations is based on your colony's wealth, and it goes up a level at certain amounts of wealth, iirc it's 31k, then 81k, then 180k, etc..You get a slave, you get a slave, you get a slave! My prisoners with jobs sleep in a barracks with gibbet cages of former occupants. Warm and cozy. I do this too! My pack of dogs will maul them if they try to escape. They share a mixed colonist/slave barrack with my best melee/shooting pawns.
