From what I understand, the reason that you can't just slap a regular AR47 upper to a hybrid lower is that the feed lips on AK mags are spaced differently than AR mags and will block the bolt from traveling unless a proprietary bolt is installed. I highly recommend the front clicker style block. It’s the easiest to adjust on the gun without having to take off the handguard. It definitely reduces recoil. You want to use a standard or reduced power AR15 buffer spring with a standard buffer.

I ended up sticking with the KS47 because I like the feel of the everyday run of the mill upper that has both traditional charging and forward assist. The pin made it a little better but it was marginal. I did. The firing pin came damaged so I sent it back and they fixed it. I have the enhanced firing pin AND the XP hammer spring.
