You need to save the portrait again every single time you change something on the job you are currently playing. Changing equipment, changing glamour, equipping materia, displaying your weapon or headpiece - all of this will make the portrait unavailable if you dont save it afterwards.Bonus points for your Instant portrait not even updating correctly after you change gear using a glamour plate.
